Good afternoon all,
Another busy week in the PE department with lots going on in core PE lessons, extra curricular clubs and inter school fixtures. Not to mention both Mrs Gaff and myself falling out with our own ankles on Wednesday!!!
On Tuesday we had 37 students at KS3 football club, it was fantastic to see so many students wanting to come back after school to develop their skills, all students thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well.
On Wednesday our Year 8 and 9 rugby team represented Telford Langley School at the RFU All Schools competition held at Telford Hornets RFC. It was a special day as we were able to wear our brand new Canterbury Rugby shirts. These shirts were designed by several of our students and presented to us earlier this year at Twickenham when England played Ireland in the RBS 6 nations. The team played fantastically well and were undefeated throughout the competition.
On Thursday our Year 11 boys travelled to Ercall Wood in a friendly football game. Whilst we didn't get the result we were hoping for it allowed the team to play together for the first time this year helping to prepare them for their upcoming county cup games.
This afternoon the Year 8 boys football team host Charlton at home in the County Cup. We hope they enjoy the game and get the result they're hoping for.
