Latest News from PE for WB 20/03/2017

 

Tuesday:

  • Year 8 footballers played at home in the Telford district plate against Telford Park School. Both teams played some fantastic football and it was a very even game throughout, Telford Park have really stepped it up since the last time these two teams met. The final score was 6-4 to Telford Langley, this means the year 8’s are now into the ¼ finals! Goals from: Owen Lunn, Ben Hawthorne and Oli Robinson (who scored 4).

Wednesday:

  • Year 7 footballers played at home in the Telford district plate against William Brookes School. Telford Langley dominated the whole game with over 90% of the game being played deep into WBS half. The final score was a very convincing 5-0 win! Their next game is the ¼ final against Burton Borough School on Tuesday 4th April away. Goals from: Kian Wright, Connor Castle and Kyle Whittaker (who scored 3).

Thursday:

  • Year 11 GCSE PE external moderation day. A massive thanks to all teachers who allowed students out of lesson to take part in the moderation day and to support for the officiating roles. The day was extremely successful and the moderator was very complimentary towards the performances which she observed. Students performed at an extremely high level in a range of sports and their coursework was also verified, this process forms 60% of the final GCSE PE grade.
