Home learning - KS3

Dear Parents/Carers,

I would like to thank you for your ongoing support in ensuring we support your child’s home learning throughout this challenging situation.

As a school we aim to use electronic resources and online support to meet the needs of our pupils. Microsoft Teams is the method we are currently using to quickly share the most up to date resources and give targeted advice from subject specialists.

We are committed to providing home learning that is as closely matched to what pupils would be learning in lessons. Staff are providing these resources in the shared learning folder (Guide attached).

Whilst paper packs can be provided in exceptional circumstances, the administrative processes involved mean that pupils are likely to receive these a few days after the lessons would have been available online. They would also miss out on the live ‘clinics’ and other interactions planned by the teachers that provide additional support and guidance.

Where possible we would encourage all pupils to use the electronic resources provided and we will be working with parents to support you in doing this throughout the academic year. The home learning email langley.homelearning@taw.org.uk provides support during periods of closure as well as when the school is fully operating and I would encourage you to contact the school as early as possible if you are having any specific difficulties in supporting your child in learning at home.

Yours faithfully,

Mr S Carter
